Weather is holding much better than we expected. This is probably the last day we’ll make before the House and Gardens are sold. Gardens are looking lovely.
An early start for the 36th Bristol Balloon Fiesta: up at 5am to get to Ashton Court for 6. Lovely, still and warm weather made for a great morning.
Before the inflation: all the balloons laid out.
The balloon above came through the crowd at head height, firing w super-soaker!
We’re having a wee whisky while we wait. We’re sat right behind BBC interview area with Matthew Pincent. So far he’s interviewed the Brownlee brothers, Tom Daley and Louis Smith (with his clothes on). So keep an eye on the interviews we could be on the left!
Add to that Sarah Pooley!
The restaurant was in one corner of the bike road race course. Good view of the racers.
And Michael’s sorted out some binoculars for the Athletics and the Closing ceremony tomorrow.
The mixed doubles were really exciting: England v Scotland (photo) and England v Malaysia. So I’ll be an ENG v ENG final.
Waited for mixed doubles SCO v ENG! Good atmosphere. Michael’s excited!
