Day ride to Swindon for Swindon Bare Swim
We were very lucky today with our day ride from home to Swindon. The wind was string from the West, which pushed us with ease to Swindon.
We left at twelve, arrived at 4:55, cycling 48 miles, with an hour or so for lunch at the Neeld Arms in Grittleton http://www.neeldarms.co.uk/ . Lovely setting, welcoming landlord and good food and beer. We really enjoyed it and sat outside with our bikes and lunch. We had an hour or so to wait: in the Gluepot close by the Swindon Naked Swim. Nice evening in the spa, but it’s feeling a little cool at the moment. Also really enjoyed the dash back along the Concorde Way in the cool of the evening at 10pm. Have my Knog Blinder to light up those sorts of path. Works a treat.
