The Rolly Gassmann Tokay Pinot Gris we had last night was wonderful: lush and fruity. Also a chance to reminisce about what we were doing in 1996.
It overshadowed the (good) takeaway we had for dinner from Ganesha:

I’m all skied out! Finished my last run to Monêtier and waiting in a cafe at the bottom of Aya to see Michael ski out
Had a good ski down the Casse de Beouf, 900m black run. Lovely bin chaud in the Bivouac hut, tastes of marmalade.

Stopped for vin Chaud at the Pi Mai hut: three out the five of us have had wee falls—well it is day one.
